PERISH

PERISH is a stylish 1-4 player FPS with a cross to bear.

Slay hordes of creatures on the scorched sands of Purgatory and sell their gold-stained corpses to craven priests. Kill magnificent bosses and use the proceeds to gain entrance to Elysium, a place of cosmic revelations.

You are amyetes, a corporeal spirit condemned to live a shadow life in the halfway realm of Purgatory.

Bring an end to your suffering by initiating the Rites of Orpheus and defeat the Chthonic deities that dominate your fractious path to Elysium.

What is PERISH?

PERISH is a stylish, roguelike horde shooter in the vein of Left 4 Dead and Vermintide in which dismal creatures roam Purgatory, a bleak wasteland in which players must slay thousands of lost souls to earn their safe passage to Elysium, the final resting ground of the Worthy.

Balancing risk vs. rewards, ascending further upwards through Purgatory increases the difficulty and the amount of gold that you can accrue. Dying will reset your progress and have you lose all the gold that you have accrued. The trick of the game is to head back to Pantheon and bank all your gold as soon as the challenge gets too hairy.

Know your limits, bank your gold at the cost of progress in Purgatory and earn enough to purchase persistent upgrades to give you the power to face the difficult later challenges of Purgatory.

Developed by ITEM42, PERISH is the passion project of two brothers with a penchant for creating visceral FPS experiences and 6-year history with Unreal Engine 4, creating both games and innovative enterprise projects.

PERISH will be available on 2nd of February 2023 on Steam, GOG and EGS.
